As I was driving to school last night I was listening to the songs that we heard at the Spirit Encounter we just had in May. What occured to me was that we cannot afford to let this encounter with God be just a time of fellowship and eating. God moved mightily in all of our hearts and as Paul told 2 Timothy 1:6-7 (ESV) 6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. The King James version says to "stir up the gift." There was a deposit made in each one of us when we had hands laid on us and were prayed for. God has great things for EVERY member of PAZ Berwyn. This is why I made a CD of the songs from the Spirit Encounter as soon as it was over. It is a vivid reminder of what God did in and me and told me about what my future holds. I look forward to having several of us go to Brazil with Pastor Aaron and Esther. God help us to stay "stirred."

Would you hug this man?

If this man shows up for service at your church on Sunday, will you give him the same welcome that you would give to a respected leader in your denomination or even better your Pastor?
You never know who will walk through the doors. On more than one occasion we have had homeless people there. They are not very nice to look at sometimes and they do not always smell that good. Jesus commanded us to go to the world. Matthew 28:19 (NIV) “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
This is just my humble opinion but, I have a problem with ministries that only desire to plant churches in affluent neighborhoods because there is a high likelyhood of building a mega church. I’m not saying that the rich and powerful don’t need God because they certainly do. But, my heart is for all of the hurting and I believe that it is a scriptural way to feel about evangelism. The book of Hebrews tells us “ Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.” Hebrews 13:2 (NIV) We will be held accountable in the last day for our actions. Let us consider others in their oppression and do what we can to make a difference. Jude 22 (KJV)“And of some have compassion, making a difference:”

I challenge you to be attentive to God’s promptings and “make a difference.” I am reminded of a story that Chuck Swindol told on the radio. A little boy was out on the seashore picking up starfish and throwing them back into the water one at a time. The beach was covered with more starfish than the boy could possibly throw back in. A man approached the little boy and asked him “why are you doing that, there are so many, you can’t possibly make a difference?” The little boy replied “I made a difference for this one!” as he threw another one back into the ocean.

Spirit Encounter
2 Corinthians 4:3-6 (ESV)
3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. 4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
God has shone His glory in our hearts. It takes a miracle from God for anyone to have the veil lifted from their eyes and see the truth. Personal evangelism is easy when we allow God to bring people into our paths. When God does this, He has already prepared their hearts and all we have to do is be obedient and speak the Word. God will do the rest.
Matthew 28:18 is not the "Great Suggestion" it is the "Great Commandment!"
Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)
18 And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Greatest Heroes and Legends of the Bible

Esther and I would like to announce that we have a new Biblical Teaching series coming soon in Children"s Church. It is called The Greatest Heroes And Legends Of The Bible Series DVD series. It is a 12 DVD series of 50 minute videos narrated by Charlton Heston. Here are a few of the topics: Moses and The Ten Commandments, Jonah and The Whale, The Miracles Of Jesus, The Nativity, The Last Supper, Crucifixion, the Ressurrection, and the Apostles. I know God wants to equip our children and this is solid Biblical teaching. It is our responsibility to teach the children. Pastor Dan and I have previewed these and they are excellent teaching tools for both children and adults. The adults are going to want to come to Children's Church to see the videos! Proverbs 22:6 (ESV) Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Church Today
We had a great time in church today. Pastor Aaron started the pre-encounter teaching and everyone got blessed. We are all looking forward to the Spirit Encounter in two weeks. God is going to blow us away and we will never be the same, in Jesus' name! I thought ya'll might like my new look. What do ya think? Christina was gracious enough to let me borrow her Easter Hat. I think it is a nice touch. Makes me look scholarly.
Annette and I love you guys. Pastor Dan & Annette

My Prayer for all of you!
This is the prayer that I read at the Easter Service at the YMCA two years ago when we officially launched the church. The Apostle Paul wrote this to the church at Ephesus when they were experiencing changes. We have some changes on the horizon, but they will be changes for the better. Paul wrote this letter to expand the horizons of the church. God wants for us to expand our horizons. God is still on the throne and we have a prophetic destiny for this city! God help us to be sensitive to what you are leading us to do. We love you and we trust you.

Ephesians 1:15-23 (NIV)
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, 20 which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
